The effect of social cyber activity can be detrimental to any military around the world. The amount of information that every government agency and military has online is actually quite alarming, considering the horrific events that would happen if some information was to be leaked. Nuclear codes have been leaked before, for example, which are extremely dangerous to be in the public’s hands. Another way militaries are affected is by propaganda being spread. Think about if someone did not like the country Russia, for example, so they started spreading rumors about the country to the masses. Next thing you know, everyone believes it, and Russia is under attack. This could happen to anyone, since the truth is sometimes hard to find in this vast pool of information accessible online. The dangers of online documents and information being leaked, as well as the danger of false information being spread like a wildfire, are something that needs to be formally addressed by governments around the globe.
