Journal Entry 14 – Hunter Morgan
The five most serious offenses listed in the article, in my opinion, are sharing passwords, addresses, or photos of others, bullying and trolling, recording a VoIP call without consent, collecting information about people under 13, and illegal searches on the internet. The main thing that all of these offenses have in common, is that they can lead to real harm physically and legally depending on the exact case. For example, sharing passwords can lead to someone going bankrupt. Bullying and trolling can lead to suicide. Recording calls without consent can lead to corruption of our court systems. Collecting information of people under 13 can lead to dangerous situations for those whose info is leaked. Illegal searches on the internet can lead to people learning how to do illegal things, obviously, but they can be dangerous to themselves or others as well. These offenses are all extremely serious and need to be monitored very heavily.
