Entry 1:
My major of choice of Cybersecurity, this class cybersecurity technology will help me get a core understanding of cybersecurity. Coming into this major I did not have much of a clear understanding of what cybersecurity is, why is it important. The importance of cybersecurity became clear as we entered the pandemic, where everything transitioned online. While growing up in the 21st century, cyber technology has always been important; when we transitioned I began to think a lot of programs were not ready for the insane load of this transition. How will our information be protected or how will we find safety in technology? A lot of things have transitioned to cyber technology prior to the pandemic, as we have the ability to save cards on our phone, apple pay, zoom. While this makes things efficient it does not exactly make them safe. This class will give me basic knowledge for when I go into the field of cybersecurity. Majors such as computer science, business management, nursing, and communications all are impacted by cybersecurity. Computer science is obvious, as they focus most of their attention on computers, how to make things more efficient. This class will help them learn more about upcoming technology. Business management also is impacted by cybersecurity, as we transition to the online world, it is important to know how to make things efficient and safe. Nursing is also something that will be impacted by cybersecurity, most of our medical data is stored online. Communication is a wide field that will include technology, it is important to get to know the technology at hand. While all of these majors are different from each other, they all have technology in order to make things efficient. We live in a world that many of us are lazy, we admire the level of efficiency companies have to offer. To make things efficient, will keep the customers or consumers happy.
What can others learn about me on the internet?
After doing a rather rough search of my name there is not much that tells about my life. When you come across my name you will find old photos, from when I was younger, and google plus was a cool use of social media. However, most things you would are for education. A lot of websites that come up when searching my name come from school projects. From an outside perspective you may say that I was studious, someone who valued their work. Or you may say that as a younger student I wanted to meet requirements, not knowing this would leave a footprint in technology. After scrolling through Google, the attention of who I am dies down as you find others with a name that may be similar. I believe in privacy, however, in this day and age, there is no such thing. There are a limited amount of websites that will trace you back to me, my interest, Facebook, Vimeo, or things that are related to education. It is not much you can learn by a simple search through Google. While scrolling through my Pinterest you will not learn much of my interests, as I do not like or post anything on that account. My Facebook account has not been updated in years, which will give those who find it a distorted view of who I was versus who I am. Vimeo only has two pictures were for my Bio class when I was in the 9th grade.
