Cyber technology has completely impacted interactions between offenders and victims, especially in recent times. The offenders typically have easier times stalking, harassing, or violating said victim. This is done easier basically due to the fact that the internet is the most accessible point in history right now.
The way technology has evolved to where we basically all have computers in our hands, has made people more likely to become a victim in itself. In the real world, victims face their attackers head-on for the most part, and they most likely get a glimpse of what they look like or what they wear, some distinguishable feature that can separate the attacker from most. In the cyber world, however, victims can sometimes never know who their attacker was, at times thinking it could be anybody thus making the victim possibly more scared and paranoid rather than in real life.
There is an interaction between the victim and the attacker in cyberspace, but as stated previously, the victim could possibly never know who the attacker is or why they did what they did. Even if this is the case, today’s cyber technology can track down who the attacker is or if they left any holes behind in their infiltration process.
In both cases, the real world and the cyber world, criminals can be tracked down using cyber technology, this is great as it can pose a real threat against cyber criminals, and it can also help us study why do they do these crimes and how to stop it from happening less.
In conclusion, cyber technology has made it easier for cyber criminals to commit cyber crimes, however, it has also made it easier to catch criminals and track them down in the both cyber and physical world.
