We are slowly becoming less reliant on passwords, as many people are starting to look at passwords as a burden. Passwords will co-exist with authentication methods. Such as touch ID, face ID, keys, and signatures. Employees will learn about two-factor authentication, and also multi-factor authentication. If a company promotes multi-factor authentication throughout all employees it provides a major benefit for the company as employees know what to do when it comes to information.
Without cybersecurity awareness training or practice, it can cause the company to be more susceptible to cyberattacks. Business employees could accidentally leave important or sensitive data unencrypted causing data to be open for stealing. An organization could fail to install routine patch updates for their information. Every day, hackers are finding new ways to steal information and use it for whatever they want to use it for. That is why it is important to always have the most up-to-date hardware to protect systems and promote security. If individuals connect to private or sketchy networks in public, this could also be a great way for hackers to get in that employees may or may not know about. As long as you are connected to the same internet, it is possible for a hacker to steal information such as an IP address.
