Cyber networks are important, but not only are they important they are prone to cyber attacks. Engineers help keep cyber networks safe by creating them and making it much more harder for cyber attacks to happen. They would do frequent updates to the cyber network to make sure there aren’t any vulnerabilities, this will help make sure no unauthorized users are trying to gain access to the network and cause harm or acquire private information. This makes the network more safer to be on with any difficulties or any risk for cyber attacks. Not only that engineers can make accounts more secure and safer using a multi-factor authentication which can strengthen the security and make it harder for hackers to guess the password of the account. To make the cyber networks much safer engineers can monitor the networks for any suspicious activity that goes on, monitoring the networks helps identify incidents earlier which can be reported quickly and handled preventing cyber attacks or any viruses and malware as said before engineers are able to create these cyber networks meaning that they’re able to implement strong and secure security systems and use risk mitigation to lessen threats. Criminal justice and cybercrime are related to each other because numerous amounts of crimes are committed using technology where criminal justice and cybercrime go hand-in-hand. One is a career in Digital Forensics that aligns with criminal justice. These professionals look into cyber crimes and other incidents that are associated with technology; this can be done by gathering electronic evidence to try to understand why an incident may have been caused. Digital Forensics professionals can also collaborate with law enforcement agencies to prevent cyber attacks from happening, they would aid law enforcement with evidence against a cybercriminal and law enforcement will oversee how the cybercriminal is prosecuted. The way this overlap relates to other disciplines that were discussed in class can be for instance, psychology can relate to this overlap because digital forensics can try to study the mind and behavior of an individual to understand why they could’ve been involved in a cyber incident. Patterns can also emerge from studying the mind and behavior of individuals which make it easier to spot out potential cybercriminals.
