Prompt: How do you think the media influences our understanding about cybersecurity?

From the shows and movies depicted in the video it seems that it is often shown that most hackers aren’t idiots. This is false due to the very type of hacker called scriptkiddies existing. Scriptkiddies are people who try to be hackers by using often used and known code to try and show that they are “super 1337 hackers”. That being said it seems that a lot of these shows do have programmers and hackers on the side who have vast knowledge regarding the hacker space and because of this, they are able to show proper hacking mechanisms that are used in the real world. Due to this knowledge I believe that it is often properly shown that hacking and hackers are incredibly talented and when actually given the ability strut their stuff, they are able to show how real the hacks shown are.
