The rise of social cybersecurity is discussed in the article as a crucial aspect of national security that will affect both conventional and unconventional warfare at all levels in the future. Understanding and predicting changes in human behavior and social, cultural, and political consequences caused by cyberspace is the main goal of social cybersecurity. Information warfare is a tactic used by state and nonstate actors to manipulate the global marketplace of ideas and beliefs in order to attack, disrupt, distort, and split civilizations and values. This strategy is thought to be a calculated attempt to undermine confidence in national institutions and the consensus surrounding national ideals, which could have an impact on upcoming conflicts.
