Being an entrepreneur is defined as a person who undertakes the risk of starting a new business venture.  I think I am an entrepreneur because I think I have the experience, patience, and motivation to take the risk of starting my own business and providing a service to the community.  I do not think I can say that I was an entrepreneur when I was the age of the average college graduate.  In my opinion, I lacked a lot of experience and skills necessary in order to be success.  I realize now that I am much older that I find myself being a subject matter expert within my field, and that I am able to effectively provide a consultation service to a lot of my friends and family, whenever they have issues regarding their home internet network or other IT needs.  Some could say that I am already doing everything that an entrepreneur does, all that could be left is taking measures into marketing my service/product to a wider audience and completing some formalities in starting up my LLC, etc.
