My personal budget has some similarities to an entrepreneurship budget, but it also has many differences.  One of the main things is that my personal budget only deals with my personal needs and the things I have going on in my personal life, but when it comes to the business, there are a lot more variables at play.  I took some accounting and budget courses throughout my career in the military, and it changed the way I planned and made decisions with my finances.   Some of the similarities I share with an entrepreneurship budget is that I list all of my income, and I list out my expenses, but not only as expenses alone, but also liabilities accounts that I pay a monthly fee such as a mortgage.  Similar to the business accounting world, understanding how much income you have coming in, and understanding how much of that income is lost to variable expenses to keep the business afloat, will give you a clear idea on how much capital is left over to either make improvements for more income, or save for further use down the line.
