Journal #9

On the Social Media Disorder Scale, I scored a 3 out of 9 which does not qualify me for having a social media disorder. The items in the list were relevant and reasonable to ask to see if someone has a problem with social media. The only thing I would change about the scale would be that questions 6 and 9 felt a bit repetitive question 6 was if you argued with anyone about your social media use. Question 9 was if you argued with your family about your social media use. I would replace question 9, the family question because you can just include family in with question 6. There are most likely different patterns worldwide because of how different people have been raised and how much access people have to technology at a young age in certain areas. The less the kid’s parents are there for them and the more technology they have, they will be more susceptible to having a social media disorder because they are always on it for entertainment.
