Essential Work Habits

Include artifacts here that demonstrate your  experience with some of the abilities listed below. Examples of artifacts you might include: comments on papers/exams; test grades; internship comments)

  • Ability to work methodically and is very detail oriented
  • Eagerness to dig into technical questions and examine them from all sides
  • Enthusiastic and highly adaptable
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
  • Demonstrated skills in innovation and collaboration
  • Keep a current understanding of vulnerabilities from the Internet
  • Maintaining awareness and knowledge of contemporary standards, practices, procedures and methods
  • Ability to get the job done
I was able to work in a very detailed manner in the assignments that I was given in my CYSE 270 Linux class. I was able to focus on the finer points of the class to get the assignments done in a timely manner and efficiently. Linux is a program that you have to see all the details in order to do certain tasks. Detailed oriented is definitely a skill to have in order to work in. You also need to dig deep in order to work with some commands and get certain aspects of the software. Using these work habits I was able to complete my required assignments.

Soft Skills

Include artifacts here that demonstrate your  experience with some of the abilities listed below. Examples of artifacts you might include: slideshow presentations, videos of presentations, etc.

  • Excellent presentation and communications skills to effectively communicate with management and customers
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts both written and verbally
  • Ability, understanding, and usage of active listening skills especially with customers
The soft skills that I have are active listening to take the feedback from assignments and change what needs to be changed in order to nail the assignment with the expectations of the instructor. With the labs for the course and the lab write up I was able to demonstrate my verbal and written skills to get the point of the assignment to my instructor. All these things prove that I have presentation and communication skills needed for my field after graduation.

Solid Technical Foundation

Include artifacts here that demonstrate your  experience with some of the abilities listed below. Examples of artifacts you might include: programming projects, homework, or projects.

  • Understand architecture, administration, and management of operating systems, networking, and virtualization software
  • General programming/software development concepts and software analytical skills
  • Proficiency in programming in Java, C/C++, disassemblers, and assembly language and  programming knowledge of two or more scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl, or shell)
  • Understanding of how the different type of firewalls and network load balancers work
  • Deep understanding of how network routers and switches work
  • Evaluate and design systems and network architectures
I have a solid foundation with visualization software in the example of virtual machines ie: OracleBox. With OracleBox I was able to work with Ubuntu, Linux, and Windows machines on my iOs device. My programming skills could use some help but I do know some C++, and I am looking to learn Python in the future. I also am aware of how to work with firewalls and how to set them up to provide the security a network needs. I also have a working knowledge of routers and switches and their inner workings.
