I am interested in cybersecurity technology because I have always wanted to do something with technology me and my uncle sat down and he gave me a list of majors that was involved with technology. This helped with my decision narrowing down my decisions about what I wanted to do it was hard to decide between cybersecurity and IT. Another reason why I wanted to work in cybersecurity the only field is that the job can be very flexible, and I can kind of work on my own time. I can also have two jobs with cybersecurity starting is around 63k to 89k per year, so I could make double and get those added to my resume then move to a state where cyber security is great and where I can flourish there. For example, I could move to Washington, D.C., and try to get a job for the government to make around 200k, and if I get my certifications I can make more by doubling that 200k into 400k. I found out I was very intrigued by protecting data and keeping hackers away from taking website data and people’s identities. When I picked this major they were saying it helped a lot with identity theft, and I would want to help people in that tough situation because it is very hard to stay calm, and they could ruin your identity and life by doing that I would want to help people. I also heard that cybersecurity technology is not easy to understand, but I am up for a challenge a challenge I can still overcome and be able to excel in that job field. In conclusion, I was interested in cybersecurity technology because I was always interested in technology when I was younger and wanted to hack computers and data, When I found out it was a major I did my research and then jumped at the opportunity.
