So to start off this ePortfolio entry one of the four ethical issues that arise when storing electronic information about individuals I have come up with is Privacy Concerns. As organizations store and stock a vast quantities of personal data, the risk of unauthorized access and misuse intensifies. Unauthorized parties gaining access to sensitive information can lead to identity theft, financial fraud, and other malicious activities. Ethical dilemmas emerge when organizations collect more data than necessary, prompting the need for data minimization practices to limit the potential for misuse. As this stores electronic information and important data as this can be an invasion of privacy.

Another one of the four ethical issues I have found is the Securities and Data Protection. As we all know that Security and Data Protection is very important especially with people having their usernames, passwords, credit cards, and etc so many organizations endure and abide by the commitment of enforcing encryption, admission and entry controls, and other security protocols to prevent unauthorized disclosure, alteration, or destruction of personal data.

One more is Informed Consent as this is often used as I would say a website asking you for cookies almost kike that so that individuals are fully aware of how their data will be collected. The lack of clarity often concerning the information methods submits ethical situations and troubles, stressing the need for clear contact and the requirement of opt-in and opt-out instruments.

The last one is Data Accuracy and Integrity it talks about the Ethical concerns and references that will transcend and exceed to the integrity of stored electronic information. Inaccurate or outdated data can have profound outcomes, affecting individuals’ lives, decisions, and opportunities. Associations have to maintain and support the moral responsibility to keep accurate records, promptly correcting mistakes to stop unfair and a lot of one sided results for individuals.
