I think there are a few ways of making sure that one’s computer is safe first off I would say make sure that you are able to turn it on and log into the computer. I would also say make sure that your computer is up to date on updates and you aren’t going to random websites and just clicking accept cookies because if you do that and are not reading them then you don’t know what you are truly excepting. You should also check the operating System Updates and make sure that you keep your working and operating procedures such as Windows, and macOS updated with the most recent security patch updates also make sure that you select automatic updates if you can as if you do this you do not have to worry about your computer being slow with loading websites, and, etc if you choose automatic updates your computer will remind its self to update and you won’t have to fall behind

Another way of making sure that your computer is if you have a secure password. When creating a password it should always be strong and unique many people may use part of their first and last name them so e number or have it be something with their birthday or a loved one or maybe some with a few numbers and some special characters with their state at the end of the day it is usually one of those few that I just named. But I was doing research on this a few years ago in my English class we were reading an article on hackers and it talked about how many crimes are happening and how a lot of people are getting hacked. After reading my teacher put a question on the board with 4 different answers of password examples and said what do you think is the password up here that is least likely to get hacked the right answer was !LRN$GPS3$G@ND(example) and it was that because that one has the least chance of getting hacked then a password with your info or a password that relates to you as this password is very complex.
