1. Describe four ethical issues that arise when storing electronic information about individuals.

All over the world individuals, data is stored all the time. This data includes bank info, credit card information, and much more. The issue becomes when the data is stored online. Many risks come with so storing data online, and they are things that people need to be aware of and educated on.

One issue that can arise from having data stored online is that it can easily be hacked. Most people believe that if they have their data, online everything is fine. This is not the case. With the change in technology, it has become easier and more accessible for hackers to get hold of users' information. These hackers can use this information to commit identity theft and many other crimes.

Another risk that comes to mind is data inaccuracy. This is when a user puts their data online and when they go to retrieve the data, and it comes back wrong. This could come about from business not having integrity or people pretending to be legit businesses. Knowing which company is legit or not is essential when dealing with data inaccuracy. Next is the issue of internet privacy. Not knowing where the data is going or where it is going to be stored—knowing where a users' information is stored os the best way to understand how to protect it. If the user does not know where the data is stored, then the person, on the other hand, can do whatever they want with this information.

The last ethical issue is system implementation. This is when an interface is not set up properly and can not process the data coming in. How can people feel safe giving the company their data if the interface is not set up properly? These are just some of the issues that come with storing data online. These are just some of the things that people need to be aware of and educate themselves to prevent them from happening in the future.

2. Compare cybersecurity risks in the U.S. and another country.

Throughout the world, cybersecurity plays a part in everything that we do online. But with this comes risks no matter where you come from. Let’s compare two countries, the United States and Germany. Much like the US, Germany also suffers from some of the same problems. An example of this is a data breach. In Germany, a 20-year-old child stole data from others and leaked them just by guessing passwords. This is similar to what happens in the US on a regular base. Unlike Germany, who were slow to respond to the threat, the US is quick to respond to threats like this as soon as it happens. One comparison that can be made between these two countries is that once these threats were discovered, organizations were created to combat future threats. One example of this was when the 20-year-old hacked Germany; they created the National Cyber Security Center (NCSC) the same as the US creating Crowdstrike. These are just examples of some of the comparisons between these two countries and how they deal with cybercrime. Some are slower than others, but in the end, they do whatever they can to stop cybercrime.
