How do engineers make cyber networks safer?

Engineers or in this case Cyber engineers are constantly on a mission to make our cyber engagements safer and easier to use. Cyber engineers identify threats and vulnerabilities in systems and software, then apply their skills to developing and implementing high-tech solutions to defend against hacking, malware, and other cyber threats. Although security engineering is a technical job, not all security professionals work in a technical industry. Many cybersecurity engineers work in sectors such as government, manufacturing, and financial services. The reason being is the cyber defense is such a large market and will continue to expand as more technology is created and more people need to rely on technology and cyber engineers to secure their information. Some specific ways that cyber engineers can make a network safer are, developing new and stronger fire walls for consumers to use, coming up with ways to better encrypt sensitive data, monitoring networks closer to ensure they are not being compromised, and lastly having a fast response time for when people who have had a security breach and need help before any information can be stolen.
