My connection on why I am so interested in cyber security is the protection of me, my family, and other people’s lives. What I mean by that is that everyone should be able to have their privacy and I know we all have to be under some type of surveillance because of national security reasons but people’s text messages, dm, photographs, identity theft, and money should not be able to be hacked and end up in other people hands. With everything becoming digital and all things being able to be accessed online I feel like there should be way more ways to help people.

I am interested in protecting the people that are getting taken advantage of. I want to be able to defend the people that can’t defend themselves. I have always been the guy that helps the people that are in need and nowadays people need help in protecting themselves online and with the internet. Other than trying to protect others I want to challenge myself in learning new abilities in life and this skill especially in this time I feel will help me in the future.  

I have always wanted to keep bettering myself and continue gaining skills to improve myself and I’ve always wanted to learn how and what you can achieve and do when you are taught this skill. I was always taught to pick up skills and learn new abilities because you never know your calling and I feel like with this skill I will always be able to help others in need and make sure people feel safe and secure.
