How does your major relate to cybersecurity technology?

So, my major is cybersecurity. I believe cybersecurity has a huge part of being related with cybersecurity technology besides just being part of the name.. The whole point of cybersecurity is to protect information/data from unwanted users that will try to use this information for their own gain. . Some examples of these attacks that unwanted users might do were given to us in our readings were: Data Theft, Cyber Crime, Destructive Attack, and etc. These threats grow every year because more people and businesses transitioning to the internet and putting all of their information on it. Also on top of the increase amount people putting information on the internet, technology is constantly evolving. This consistent evolution means there are new ways for attackers to try to take information. So, with these new threats, people who are in cybersecurity have to learn new ways to fend of these new threats. This why the importance of cybersecurity has increased dramatical to protect these users information and how this major relates so much with cybersecurity technology.
