Describe three ways that computers have made the world safer and less safe.

 As computers become more and more common nowadays with pretty much everyone having one. With everyone having access to them we are now seeing what effects they have on us and the world. Some of these effects have been for the better but there have been negative effects too. One thing technology has made safer is storing information. We now have the ability to store information online and we are able to share it with others easily. This will limit the chance of a person losing this information. Does not completely erase the risk of being stolen, but if the person puts the proper protection around it, the chances of it being stolen are slim. It has also helped the healthcare community. It also communicates with other doctors and shares findings quickly. Helps patients schedule appointments from home instead of having to make it in person. That is huge especially in today’s environment with COVID-19. It has also helped share patient information if needed in emergencies. Lastly, technology has created plenty of jobs or made it easier for people to find one at least. When more people are at work, the fewer chances of people would likely commit crimes. Also, people who are working are productive members of society, and not depending on others. So, some ways technology made the world less safe would be addictiveness and health problems. People get addicted when they use their technology. Could be because they love playing games or always-on social media. This addictiveness is bad, because like all addictions there are not any good ones. This makes them less productive and lazy. This addiction can lead to health problems, but health problems could also arise if you work on computers daily for a long period of time. Some health problems like diabetes, heart problems, and just weight gain. When sitting on a computer too long the lack of blood happens and causes these problems. Another thing technology makes less safe is that since everything is connected. With everything being connected if one thing on your computer gets compromised, the whole computer can. This can lead to unwanted information being taken or just shared with the world. So, even though technology can make the world safer, we need to be aware of the negative things it can do too.
