How do engineers make cyber networks safer?

When it comes to cyber networks there are people who work on them to help make them safer. These people who work on them are security engineers, and they help make sure that the networks are safe as possible. These security engineers are meant to make sure the network is secure. They will add firewalls, implement software and hardware that will help protect the network. They will run tests and scan looking for vulnerabilities that attackers will try to exploit. One example of vulnerability would be that login passwords are too weak or that messages are not encrypted. They will find ways to fix these vulnerabilities by making stronger password requirements or encrypt messages. They are constantly looking for ways to make enhancements. They will monitor the network to see if there are any unusual activities happening. They will add security procedures and products to help bolster security. If there is a breach in the network they will be the ones to investigate and see how it got into the network and what did the attackers go for while in the network. They plan and protect these networks to stop attackers from getting access, viruses, and malware. They will teach members who are on the network to have them aware of information security and be aware of potential threats that can compromise the network like spam email and suspicious websites. As you can see security engineers do a lot to help protect networks and try to prevent attackers from getting into them. From monitoring activities, implementing systems and products, or teaching those who are using the network and make sure they are prepared. This is why these security engineers are important and are needed for cyber networks. They improve and make cyber networks safer and better for those using them.
