1. Engineers maintain a network’s infrastructure to make sure that the users, programs, and devices ensure that they’re in a safe space to operate. Engineers specialize in cybersecurity, so they protect it from issues such as malfunctions, misuse, destruction, hacking, or threats. To keep the networks safe they install virus protection, check the network for weak points, and make protocols stop future situations from occurring. Engineers also use routers, firewalls, and network monitoring as more protection for the network from internal and external threats. Even now they must follow trends too and learn new methods to fight threats since viruses, malware, and spyware are still evolving. They also not only have to focus on the network being secured, but also the user since their devices need to be secure as well. So, as you could probably tell, engineers have a lot of responsibility for not only the network, but also users and their devices.
  2. Cybersecurity intertwines quite a bit. Cybersecurity is here so that cybercrime can be prevented. Cybercrime is defined as crimes that are committed online or cyber related and criminal justice helps to figure out why people commit crimes. Nowadays a lot of crimes are being committed online and as a result criminal justice has had to acquire help from cybersecurity so that crimes will be reduced. Also, there are new cybercrimes becoming created such as unauthorized access and distributed denial of service attacks. Along with the traditional crimes such as fraud, embezzlement, and bullying that were being even before they were happening online. There are more crimes that take place, but those five are some that you see more often. With technology becoming more advanced criminals are becoming more advanced and are moving their technology to commit crimes. So, with that criminal justice has had to partner with cybersecurity to stop these criminals from committing anymore.
