Four majors that ODU offers that are similar to Cybersecurity would be Information Systems, Computer Science, Cyber Operations, and Cybercrime. These four are similar to Cybersecurity because they all categorize under computer science as well Interdisciplinary studies. But that’s just a quick example as to how they are similar. Cybersecurity and Computer science are similar because both jobs require you to pay attention to detail and requires a good set of analytical skills such as problem solving and critical thinking. Cybersecurity and Computer Science allows you to come up with creative ways to solve problems in order to get good solutions.

Information Systems and Cybersecurity are comparable because both of these career’s purposes are to establish protection in cyberspace from attacks, malware, and phishing. Information Systems fall under the same umbrella as CYSE and that umbrella is Network Security just like the other majors I chose to expound on. Cyber Operations is similar to Cybersecurity in the same aspects as the other majors I chose because it takes the same preventative measures as Cybersecurity. To make sure that there is no leaking of information and tries its best to keep information and software from being stolen. Cybercrime falls under the same umbrella as CYSE which is Network Security which means that they are both in the business of protecting and keeping confidentiality data networks and their software they use. And they both share the same intellectual focus which is science to ensure that networks and cyberspaces are secure. In Conclusion, these four majors that I chose to write about , because they are similar to Cybersecurity in ways that make them all correlate in some/ many ways. These majors are similar to CYSE because they are all rooted in the network security, critical thinking, and protecting information which ties all them together and makes you feel as though it’s all the same.
