In this post I will be comparing cybersecurity risk in the United States and other countries. First thing I would like to bring light to would be that the United States is targeted the most when it comes to phishing attacks. As per the module reading from Kilger (2016) the United States, China, Brazil, Russia, and the Ukraine are at the top of the list when it comes to phishing attacks. When it comes down to the US compared to other countries such as Angola, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, and Congo (Brazzaville and Kenisha) we have a higher rate of digital piracy activity. Ghana, Nigeria, and Malaysia along with others are some of the countries with the most prominent rates of advance fee fraud specialists, meaning that compared to other countries (the US included) they are more advanced when it comes to doing fraud that involves a monetary incentive for the people committing the fraudulent acts.
Bulgaria, Argentina, Israel, and Kuwait to name a few in comparison with the US is more powerful in the field of phishing. Along with other countries they are more advanced when it comes to phishing attacks also but not limited to email phishing attacks on other countries. The United States as a whole we need to come up with a plan and implement software that can help us from being targeted. As well as other countries because like I stated earlier that we have the highest rate of cyber-attacks, than any other place, so now we need to figure out how we can stop this and possibly help other countries sort out this issue. Compared to other countries we have the highest rate with China and Russia right behind us, we take most of the hits possibly due to our size, population , and our week cybersecurity barriers.
