In cyber technology doing deviance in a workplace would be acting out like posting pornography in a workplace. It would be doing inappropriate or some type of criminal behavior. There has been a lot of deviance in the workplace because workers don’t think they will be caught in the situation. Not putting a stop to this harmful behavior can really destroy a workplace. Cyber technology has been impacted by deviance in a workplace has really affected businesses. What people don’t realize that workplace deviance can takeover through the cyber aspects that happen online rather than face-to-face. Since in workplaces that deal with a lot of technology, causes a lot more access for deviant behavior to happen. Some examples of workplace deviance would be unauthorized access to personal data, spreading false information, and misusing company resources. Workplace deviance is actions that pertain to personal use of the internet during work hours, increasing rumors about other coworkers, spreading inappropriate information about workers, unauthorized access to confidential information, and not using company systems or the data. A lot of workplaces are dealing with deviance and putting a stop to deviance is one of the toughest things to prevent in a workplace that involves a lot of technology. If companies can put a stop to deviance will really help employees feel a lot safer in the workplace and more workers will want to be a part of the company. If companies can determine the patterns of the deviance and how its slipping through the cracks will help stop the matter. The internet and computers can determine the groups that the predators are affecting and seeing the pattern of the problem. In my opinion works start deviance because they are either not right in the head, or they are looking for attention or they are jealous and just want to make other workers to suffer because they didn’t get the promotion. A huge cause of deviant behavior is because of the individual level or the adolescent upbringing.
