The way that engineers make cyber networks safer is their main responsibility and protecting the networks from unauthorized access, data breaches, cyber-threats, and the other malicious things that go on. The engineers’ focus is to improve the network security processes and help the networks and systems continue to be secure and efficient. The engineers will identify network security threats, analyze threats and vulnerabilities, develop security policies and processes, and do auditing and testing of the networks. Their focus is protecting companies and organizations from cyber-attacks. The engineers are responsible for designing and applying secure networks, practices, and the different protocols that will stop cyber-attacks from occurring and taking companies and organizations personal data. The engineers will use a lot of different tools that can monitor a company’s data and the different threats they receive. Though I have found out that a lot of cyber-security engineers will work close to the IT personnel to help with structure with the protection of the company. The engineers really work on staying on top of the latest cyber networks and the evolving of the different attacks. They need to provide effective defense when it comes to attacks and have a great defense against cyber-attacks.  They focus on developing and implementing IT security policies, procedures and standards, performing vulnerability assessments and testing, developing security measures for a mobile and cloud systems, overseeing the installation and maintenance of security software, and analyzing security logs and monitoring suspicious activity. They need to protect themselves against the different cybercrimes. Engineers are literally the gatekeeper of the security and making sure nothing happens to the company. They will prevent attacks happening and having personal data stolen from their accounts. Making sure your company has a great engineer is a huge factor because you want to make sure that your company has the right protection.
