Essential Work Habits
Customer service skills are the set of behaviors you rely on when interacting with a customer. They can also be useful when following up after an initial conversation. My work /job history all deals with customer service and so I have quite a lot of great customer service skills such as:
- Excellent communication: I am very responsive and prompt. I can communicate with both guests and team members in a clear, easy-to-understand way to solve their problems.
- Leadership: As a team leader I was responsible for the entire team. I made sure that we were maintaining a safe and friendly environment while working on our various assigned jobs. I made sure to be available for the team at all times and kept things in order.
- Creativity: In the customer service industry, being creative can go a long way. I pay attention to little details by listening carefully and observing the situation. I create possible solutions for problems that may or may not occur.
- Accountability in the Workplace: As a team leader, I took accountability for everything and everyone in the workplace environment.
- Attentiveness: When a customer has a problem, he/she wants to be given the attention necessary to get the situation resolved. This is a skill I possess. I am not easily distracted and put all my attention into every small detail in the company.
- Respect: By showing respect to both customers and co-workers I – use their names, don’t interrupt when I’m being spoken to, look at them while they are speaking, wait until they’re finished before offering a response, etc.
