The job of cybersecurity analyst has a substantial relation to social behaviors. Cybersecurity analysts must be able to understand how human behavior can influence technology. Many cyber attacks occur due to human error. Cybersecurity analysts must be able to analyze these patterns in order to come up with strategies to reduce these risks. Analysts must also be able to identify different social tactics used by attackers. These social tactics are used to exploit human psychology to gain access to unauthorized systems and information. An instance where a social theme arose in the video was when the speaker discussed creating a resume. She stated that “perception is often more important than reality”. This is an example of social tactics being used to manipulate people psychologically.
