Determinism means that an outcome is caused or influenced by a preceding event. When related to cybersecurity, determinism is that an attack had occurred because of a previous event. An example of this would be if an employee opened up a phishing email and downloaded malware, which lead to a data breach within the company. The preceding event would be the downloading of the malware via email. And the data breach would be the outcome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Parsimony:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Parsimony is the method of explaining things in the simplest way possible. In relation to cybersecurity, parsimony would be creating a simple procedure to be used as a guide when incidents occur or when a new policy is made<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Objectivity:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Objectivity involves an unbiased opinion and depends solely on information provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
