Instruction: Andriy Slynchuk has described eleven things Internet users do that may be illegal. Review what the author says and write a paragraph describing the five most serious violations and why you think those offenses are serious.

Response: Collecting Information about Children, Using Other People’s Internet Networks, Using Torrent Services, Illegal Searches in the Internet and Sharing Passwords, Addresses, or Photos of Others are the five most serious violations in my opinion. Children are vulnerable and their information should be protected, it is serious because minors names are typically withheld in the news for a crime or death of a minor. Using other people’s internet networks is serious because although it may be unintentional their bad habits of internet surfing could spread malware onto a users paid network without the owners knowledge. Torrent service usage may seem beneficial and a cheap luxury for streaming films, music, pay per view, etc. but is doing the actors and content creators a injustice as they are not making the money for the media you are enjoying. Illegal searches in the Internet can be consequential and a serious offense as it could lead to future crimes, illegal activity online or “real world” crimes. Sharing Passwords, Addresses, or Photos of Others is a unfair action to take against someone without their knowledge/will and is a privacy concern thus becoming a serious violation in my opinion.
