They have a great effect on peoples on whom they are presented too. This is especially in the case for younger or impressionable audience first introduction to that media. Cybersecurity has no special Caveat to this universal concept. Media has a large factor in ones understanding of material this is the same for books not just technology. Many people lack the to desern or question many of the things they are presented at a first glance. This means many peoples understanding of cyber security would be skewed by what they are shown. For example, my first introduction to cyber security was through ecpi commercials promising 2.5 year associates for cyber security which made think cyber security was all just spectating a server room. That shows how first exposure can skew your understanding of a value at first.
