1. Describe five businesses or non-profits that have been created in my field.
– here are five businesses or non-profits that have been created in cybersecurity
1.CrowdStrike: Founded in 2011, CrowdStrike is a leading cybersecurity technology
company providing cloud-native endpoint security. Their Falcon platform offers threat
intelligence and cyber attack response services to protect enterprises against cyber
attacks.
2.CyberPatriot: A non-profit launched by the Air Force Association, CyberPatriot promotes
cybersecurity education among young people. They run the National Youth Cyber
Defense Competition, where high school and middle school students develop
cybersecurity skills through competitive challenges.
3.FireEye: Established in 2004, FireEye is an industry leader in intelligence-led security-as-
a-service, providing advanced threat detection and investigation solutions. They are
known for their machine learning and AI-driven security tools that help businesses
protect their data and networks.
4.The CyberPeace Institute: A non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the stability
of cyberspace. They work to prevent the most harmful cyber threats, offering assistance
to vulnerable organizations and advocating for cooperative, international norms and
policies for a safer cyberspace.
5.Cybereason: Cybereason, founded in 2012, offers an endpoint protection platform driven
by machine learning. The platform is designed to detect and respond to complex cyber-
attacks in real-time, protecting businesses from threats such as ransomware, data
breaches, and insider attacks.

2. What is your overall perspective on the entrepreneurship experience?
– Entrepreneurship is an incredibly rewarding journey that blends creativity, resilience,
and innovation. It offers the unique opportunity to bring ideas to life and make a significant
impact in chosen industries or communities. Entrepreneurship encourages continuous learning,
problem-solving, and risk-taking, fostering personal and professional growth. Although it comes
with its fair share of challenges, the thrill of starting something from scratch and seeing it grow
and thrive is truly incomparable. Ultimately, it’s not just about creating successful businesses, but
about transforming visions into reality, shaping the world in unique ways, and inspiring others to
do the same.

3. How did the entrepreneurship prepare or not prepare you to be a competitive candidate for
vacant positions?
– My experience in entrepreneurship has significantly prepared me to be a competitive
candidate for various positions. It has equipped me with diverse skills such as problem-solving,
leadership, strategic thinking, and adaptability. As an entrepreneur, I’ve learned to be resourceful
and resilient, qualities that are crucial in any role. Additionally, managing a business has given
me a holistic view of how different aspects of an organization interplay, making me a well-
rounded candidate. I’ve also learned to thrive in uncertain situations, which is invaluable in
today’s ever-evolving job market. While entrepreneurship might not provide a traditional career
path, it definitely shapes a mindset that’s ready to face and overcome challenges, and that, I
believe, sets me apart.

4. What suggestions do you have to improve the experience?
– Looking back, enhancing communication, and fostering more collaboration with others
could have greatly enriched my entrepreneurial experience and brought diverse perspectives to
the project creation process.

5. What’s next for you?
– Moving forward, I plan to leverage the invaluable skills and insights gained from my
entrepreneurship class in my life and career post-graduation, using them to innovate, lead, and
make a positive impact in the cybersecurity field.
