- Am I an entrepreneur?
In breaking up entrepreneurship into two categories in the business sense I would not consider myself an entrepreneur. I say this because I am not making any strives to become a business. On the other hand, it can be thought of as a mindset, the way I would approach a problem. The way someone approaches their work in school could make them an entrepreneur in the academic area. I feel like I have the mindset of an entrepreneur but not the drive or knowledge or where to start. I think that I am quick when it comes to trying to find solutions and solve problems.
- What is success?
Success is not something that comes so easily in life, success comes with many sacrifices and can be hard to obtain. It can be measured in multiple ways from tracking the status of your degree process, to how much money you are making in the job you obtained. Being able to reach a goal or being able to achieve something that you put your mind to, can measure up to some sort of success. There is also success in failure, in my opinion, if there was effort put forth and some type of learning experience was gained then success was also gained. Maintaining balance in your everyday life is a good way to produce success.
- Am I a self-starter? How well do I follow through on my ideas?
I think I can be a self-starter sometimes because I am not always quick to take initiative. Being a self-starter does not only pertain to starting up a business of sorts but can also apply to how motivated someone is to education. People who are self-starters are extremely ambitious and hard workers. As of now, I consider myself half self-starter because of how I follow through with half of the ideas that I have.

They also partnered with the city of Norfolk to offer working space and other opportunities for students, which shows they do care for us. ODU offers many different programs in entrepreneurship so nobody is limited to thinking so big. They have even gone as far as beginning the process of developing a foundation that would help ODU entrepreneurs in the early stages.
- What is my role in this ecosystem?
My role as of right now in this ecosystem is to attain my degree here at ODU while becoming as knowledgeable in the cybersecurity field as possible. Attending my classes, completing my work, and doing well on exams are ways I can fill my role in this ecosystem. With this knowledge I have gained I will be able to put it to good use by helping companies with unforeseen security issues that might arise.
