  1. Describe five businesses or non-profits that have been created in my field.
    AEHIS – The Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security – The Association for Executives in Healthcare Information Security (AEHIS) was launched in 2014 in order to provide an education and networking platform to healthcare’s senior IT security leaders.
    APWG – Anti-Phishing Working Group – APWG is the international coalition unifying the global response to cybercrime across industry, government and law-enforcement sectors and NGO communities.
    Auto-ISAC – Automotive Information Sharing and Analysis Center – An industry-driven community to share and analyze intelligence about emerging cybersecurity risks to the vehicle, and to collectively enhance vehicle cybersecurity capabilities across the global automotive industry, including light- and heavy-duty vehicle OEMs, suppliers and the commercial vehicle sector.
    Black Cybersecurity Association – BCA is a welcoming and inclusive non-profit organization focused on building community, mentorship, and job opportunities for underrepresented minorities in the cybersecurity space.
    CISO Executive Network – The CISO Executive Network is a peer-to-peer organization dedicated to helping information security, IT risk management, privacy, and compliance executives to be more successful.

  2. What is your overall perspective on the entrepreneurship experience?
    I think that this experience was different. Having to think in another way to try and sell ideas or myself changed my perspective on entrepreneurship because it is not easy. Overall, I think entrepreneurship takes a type of mindset that will help me in the future.
  3. How did the entrepreneurship prepare or not prepare you to be a competitive candidate for vacant positions?
    I think that entrepreneurship class prepared me to be a competitive candite for a vacant because it has taught me how to think in a different way and it also has prepared me to sell myself to future employers to showcase my abilities.
  4. What suggestions do you have to improve the experience?
    One thing I would suggest that would improve this experience would be to have directions be clearer so there are no misunderstandings when it comes to assignments.
  5. What’s next for you?
    As of right now, I do not have a job lined up in the cybersecurity field but I have put many applications out there and I am just waiting to hear back from one of them.
