This course will definittely set me up for success both academically and professionallly. I think I have a strong grasp of what the work load looks like now for a graduate level course.\u00a0 I did not really know what to expect before taking this class but feel like it is setting my expectations for next semester and further down the road. I also like how this class covered a wide variety of topics and really feels like it set a foundation for what else I can find an interest in. This will help when determining which electives I want to take.
This also sets me up professionally because I\u2019m already seeing different things at my work that make me say oh yeah I recognize this language from my cybersecurity course! It\u2019s giving me more of an understanding of what\u2019s going on around me at work instead of just the specific job \/ duties I have. For example, I work directly on websites \/ files in a share drive for most of my work day and emailing folks throughout the Navy. But those around me do other things like development and risk management. I used to have no idea what they do but now I can relate terms that I\u2019ve read about in this course to things that I hear them talk about. This also sets me up because if I continue and do well in this degree program, having a Masters degree in cybersecurity can open many doors for future employment opportunities and I hope that it does.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
