What benefit can organizations gain from the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and how would you use it at your future workplace?

Organizations can gain many benefits if they utilize the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. One benefit includes having a common language being used. When multiple organizations are using the same framework, it is easier for administrators to communicate, collaborate, and understand each other. This also allows for a common approach in terms of security and improved responses to threats. Another benefit includes an easier means to remain compliant in terms of cybersecurity. when the same framework is being used, there is less questioning as to whether or not a company is compliant with different regulation agencies. Along with these benefits, using the same cybersecurity framework allows for an improved use of the security budget allotted. Many companies are worried about money and may look for ways to cut corners in order to save money. By using the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, companies will be able to save money without harming their cybersecurity in general.

At my current workplace, there are a few ways the NIST Cybersecurity Framework could be used. My company is always looking for ways to save money, so utilizing the NIST Cybersecurity Framework would save money there. This would also allow our admins to have better communication and collaboration efforts with other partner companies. I am unsure of what framework is currently used, but I do believe that my company would benefit from utilizing the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
