There are many ways to tell if your computer has a virus. If your computer suddenly starts to act slower than usual. The user could also experience apps crashing or that their computer is frequently freezing. That could be because of a virus that is using a bunch of CPU or data. A solution for this is to open up task manager on your computer to see everything that is running in the background. However, with technology advancing sometimes a virus will not cause any visual or performance issues so it wouldn’t hurt to check task manager now and then. These viruses could also stop the process of other apps and if it is really bad stop the process of your antivirus apps in which it is time to see a computer virus specialist.

If there are irregular things happen to your computer like a random window opening itself or random pop ups start appearing on your computer even though you are not on a website. Another not good sign is that you are unable to access your files. A thing hackers do to business people is restrict the owners access to their files and force them to pay them if they want access to their files back. Also if you are unable to make changes to your computer for example not being able to update it that could be a virus stopping it that could potentially remove the virus. If you have a security app on your computer you can do a scan on your files and applications for any viruses. You can prevent yourself from getting a virus if you do not click on any links from an unknown email. If your computer is having apps close and open all by itself it could be a virus taking place.
