1. What are the costs and benefits of developing cybersecurity programs in business?

The cost and benefits of developing cyber security programs in a business can be expensive and time consuming but extremely worth it. First the company needs to do its research on Which Cyber Security Program and provider they want to go with and what type of cyber security program would suit their company the best. Then they need to look at cost and submit that for review and have a meeting to approve their choice, then they have to coordinate with the company they chose for an installation, then employees and users need to be trained on how to use the program. The process can be long, time consuming, hard to coordinate, and expensive, but the benefits are completely worth it. The benefits outweigh the cons by far. Cyber security programs can save you millions in money and could even prevent a workplace accident or death, or prevent a stolen identity. Companies gather employee data and customer data and if that were to be compromised they could be dealing with a lawsuit or the loss of a person’s identity. If a company is deemed un responsible with private information then nobody would want to use their service and they would eventually lose all customers and go bankrupt. The company could lose their own Private information to a competitor and that would be a hard loss too that could bankrupt a company. If the business is a factory then the machines they use could be infected and shut down. Every hour the machines are shutdown could cost millions.  If someone is operating a machine and it malfunctions or performs in a way it isn’t supposed to, the operator or bystanders could be gravely injured or killed. The loss of information, sensitive data, site or machine down time, destruction of property, or loss of life is definitely worth the cost of a Cyber Security program and the benefit of its implementation is protection from all of this. .
