Then they need to look at cost and submit that for review and have a meeting to approve their choice, then they have to coordinate with the company they chose for an installation, then employees and users need to be trained on how to use the program. The process can be long, time consuming, hard to coordinate, and expensive, but the benefits are completely worth it. The benefits outweigh the cons by far. Cyber security programs can save you millions in money and could even prevent a workplace accident or death, or prevent a stolen identity. Companies gather employee data and customer data and if that were to be compromised they could be dealing with a lawsuit or the loss of a person’s identity. If a company is deemed un responsible with private information then nobody would want to use their service and they would eventually lose all customers and go bankrupt. If someone is operating a machine and it malfunctions or performs in a way it isn’t supposed to, the operator or bystanders could be gravely injured or killed.
