Social cybersecurity, a burgeoning scientific field, is dedicated to understanding the profound impact of cyber-mediated changes on human behavior and societal outcomes. In modern society, strategic use of information is used to shape narratives and disrupt societies, a tactic increasingly prevalent in modern warfare. This article further explores the concept of social cybersecurity, which involves using technologies to disrupt humans (Cognitive hacking), and traditional cybersecurity, which pertains to the conventional use of technologies to hack other technologies. The central theme of this article is the pervasive adoption of technology in contemporary warfare, a trend that demands our attention and understanding. This article then delves into traditional warfare, where the strategic focus was primarily on physical terrain. However, the twenty-first century had a technological shift. Conflicts no longer revolve solely around physical battlegrounds; they increasingly incorporate technological elements. This transformation provides an example of the growing significance of technology in modern conflicts. Technology has revolutionized warfare dynamics by enabling information manipulation through information maneuvers and network maneuvers. Information maneuver involves the manipulation of information and the flow of relevance of information in cyberspace, while Network Maneuver entails the manipulation of the actual social network structures. Social media platforms and decentralized information flows have significantly reduced the barriers to entry for manipulating public opinion and societal behavior. This has presented new challenges in countering misinformation and propaganda in cyberspace, with the role of bots as force multipliers in information operations becoming a pressing concern.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
