Activities

Volunteering at the hospital expands my knowledge of the Spanish language because I interact with different types of people. I sign patients’ families in and out of the Surgery Waiting room, escort the families to the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit, and explain rules regarding the cafeteria. Engaging in these duties with native speakers is sometimes challenging. However, the knowledge of Spanish I have acquired will make it a bit easier.

This photo highlights volunteers for national volunteer week. I am in the second at the top.
