About Me

My name is Dana Brown i was born with cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus. Cerebral palsy is muscular condition that makes ambulating difficult without the use of canes. Additionally, my brain absorbs excess cerebral spinal fluid which causes hydrocephalus. However, my conditions do not define my being. I was a volunteer at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters for four years from 2018 to 2022, and I recently received the 2022 HealthcareHero Award. Finally, I am majoring in Health Administration services at at Old Dominion University and desire to use the knowledge that i acquire to communicate with patients and their families through the Healthcare system.
