He is a director at Alvarez & Marsal, leading their Global Forensic Technology practice in Asia. He has worked in this field for 17 years; he thanks and gives praise to his dad for getting him into this field. He is an accountant by profession, he started off in a small a small accounting practice. They were looking for an IT person to help with their networks, which made him think that he could get into it and do a good job. As his career progressed, he got more into the field of IT while still being an accountant. He got into one of the big four accounting firms, he got the opportunity to work in the first national digital forensic practice in Australia. He got an email about it and how they were creating a brand-new team. He had no clue what it was about, but he was interested in the potential field and took the opportunity and has not looked back since. He couldn’t be happier with his leap into the profession and the career he has. It really inspired in me in a way that sometimes you must take that leap of faith. If you got an opportunity, you must take it because you never know, you may regret it. The pathway to his career wasn’t given to him and something he didn’t expect being an accountant at first, but he followed his heart and his interest. He never settled for less even getting the opportunity to land in one of the four biggest accounting firms.
