If I had to rank the 7 motives from 1 to 7 on what I think makes the most sense I would say:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Multiple Reasons<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Political<\/p>\n\n\n\n
4. Recognition<\/p>\n\n\n\n
5. Entertainment<\/p>\n\n\n\n
6. Boredom<\/p>\n\n\n\n
7. Revenge<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I put money at #1 because I feel like most people start finding loopholes and ways without doing actual labor to make revenue. Which is why I put multiple reasons at #2 because money plays a big role in that as well as ego and socioeconomic\/psychological factors. Having more reasons like keeping up with an ego and battling competitors would keep a hacker going or for them to kick it up a notch. I put Political at #3 because that seemed like a no brainer to me, politics I feel like plays such a big role in today\u2019s society and peoples decision making. I put Recognition at #4 because there are so many kids that do stupid things\/whatever it takes for attention, so it wouldn\u2019t surprise me at all people hacking accounts and celebrities for attention\/recognition. I put entertainment at #5 and boredom at #6 because I feel like emotional state plays a role in people doing weird things for fun or because there is nothing left to do. I put revenge at #7 because it made the least sense to me, if you hack out of revenge that\u2019s another level of crazy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
