1.Criminology and Criminal Justice
Criminal Justice relates to cyber security in multiple regards. The first way that it relates is cyber crimes. Cyber security was created to protect everyone from these crimes. But when these crimes happen criminal justice is needed to find and prosecute those who did the attack. Another relation the two have is that cybersecurity can be used to help with cases. There are times in cases where people in the cyber security field go through technology to help find evidence for cases.
- Psychology
Psychology relates to cyber security through how the mind thinks during a cyber crime. Psychology goes through all the aspects that would drive an individual to do the crime. These aspects can range from the environment the person was raised in all the way to neurological factors. So for example, if it comes out that an individual hacked a company for money there is a chance they did it because as a child they saw family members steal things to get money.
- Computer Science
Computer science is the study of computers. So cybersecurity goes hand and hand with computer science since it is a deep dive into the security of computer systems. Both fields need each other. Without cyber security computer science would not have any security. Without computer science there would be no devices for cyber security to protect.
- Engineering
Engineering is described as the use of math and science to solve problems. Engineering is such a large field that it gets broken down into categories. Two categories that would link up with cyber security are computer engineering and system engineering. Computer engineering is used to create computer software. Systems engineering is when something that runs on a system is designed. Either field helps to create systems that cyber security is used on.
