Engineers do a lot to make cyber networks safer, involving multiple measures and techniques. Engineers are needed since they create and maintain cyber networks. While maintaining these systems the engineers look for ways to better the security of the network. Some ways they better the systems are by implementing encryption, access control, and firewalls. These are implemented so that there are more security layers to protect information that is hidden in the system. Since the engineers have access and are in the system they can tell when an attack goes down. This is very important so that if the engineer knows then they can start to see how the attack got in so that changes can be made so that the same attack doesn’t happen again. When the attacks go down the engineers will enact response plans that they create in case an attack goes down, making it so a quick response happens to combat the attack. Engineers are very important since they create networks, maintain/improve the networks, and look into attacks when they take place.
