Article Review 1

The article I chose to review is “Juridical Review of Copyright Infringement in the Use of Deepfakes in the Creative Industry in Indonesia.” The article was written by Daniel Hendrawan, Christian Anderson, Demson Tiopan, Shelly Kurniawan, and Maya Malinda. This article takes a deep dive into the law including deep fakes/artificial intelligence. There is an argument on the connection between copyrights and these two concepts in Indonesia. For example, this article used things such as judicial review to show past things that included both concepts in the court of law to show how cases would go with it. Multiple laws are looked at under a microscope to try to see how they can relate to these topics.  This article doesn’t have the kind of topic where the research could be done in ways such as surveys. Rather this article how to do just basic research to find the needed information for the topic. This paper went over topics that we discussed in this course by showing concepts such as victimization to show how people are dealing with the crime and how it is relevant.
