PrivacyRights.org is a website that displays publicly available information about the data
breaches, that occurs throughout the United States. After reviewing some of the information on the site, it seems to be a hub for data breaches and presents it in a clear and concise manner. It is a non-profit organization that supports the rights by presenting data privacy laws and allows viewers to have a single, searchable database for publicly reported data breaches. This website would be great for researchers to learn and study breaches. Not only does it have laws that is applicable to data privacy, but also has a database to view privacy policies for different companies. The website also has a database for publicly reported data breaches. Researchers would have a field day utilizing this website. They could dive into different breach reports on the site and use them as case studies to get a better understanding of the causes, the response and the consequences that occurred from the breach. They could utilize the historical data and see the evolution or growth of data breaches, or they could utilize the database to analyze patterns and frequencies of certain types of data breaches and see which companies are most impacted by these types of breaches. Overall, I believe privacyrights.org would be a great resource for researchers to utilize and study the causes, impacts and future implications of data breaches.
