Andry Slynchuk has described eleven things Internet users do that may be illegal. Review what the author says and write a paragraph describing the five most serious violations and why you think those offenses are serious.
After reviewing Andriy Slynchuk’s article about 11 things Internet Users do that may be illegal, the 5 I view as the most serious violations are
1. Recording a VoIP call without consent.
2. Collecting information about children
3. Bullying and Trolling
4. Sharing passwords, addresses, or photos of others
5. Illegal Searches on the internet
Recording a VoIP call without consent is a serious violation of trust and privacy. These types of calls can include personal data such as financial information and even authentication details, which can, in turn, expose the person whose call is being recorded to criminal targeting. Anything involving children is especially sensitive, as children are the epitome of innocence. Protecting them from harm and preventing them from becoming targets of exploitation is a responsibility we, as adults, must take seriously. Children are easily influenced, and the misuse of their information can lead to them being taken advantage of. Bullying and trolling—whether online or in person—are never acceptable. Such behavior can have severe consequences, including suicide or, in extreme cases, provoking someone to commit violent acts such as a school shooting. Sharing passwords or other personal information online is a quick path to identity theft. Having your identity stolen can cause irreparable damage both financially and personally. Engaging in illegal online searches may also lead individuals down a dangerous path, potentially resulting in criminal behavior. There is often a reason such content is considered illegal, and it should not be pursued online.
