Computer engineering is a branch of electrical engineering that involves several fields of computer science and electronic engineering required to develop computer hardware and software. The development of software in computer engineering is what is learned in computer science. Database management majors are focused on information technology, information security, organization of data, and metadata management. The point of database management is to learn to use relational databases and software management systems and perform data analysis. To be successful in the database management field, it requires some knowledge of cybersecurity.
