One thing I learned during this class is how cells develop and can communicate with one another. This can relate to pharmacy, the field of study that I am interested in going into, in a variety of ways. One being that drugs prescribed can alter, modify, or even prevent certain cells from communicating with each other for the body to work effectively if a patient is sick or struggling with health issues. For years molecular and cellular biology has overall improved our understanding of human diseases, but more importantly in the discovery of therapeutic drugs. It is also said that about 50 years ago, pharmacology provided cell biologists with many research problems and there is reason to believe this will not continue to happen in the future.
